Chef Kenji Takahashi brings an unparalleled wealth of culinary expertise and an illustrious background to Singapore as he assumes the prestigious role of head chef at the Hong Kong Michelin-starred Zuicho. While he may be new to the vibrant culinary scene of Singapore, Chef Takahashi’s journey in the realm of Japanese cuisine spans decades, showcasing his unwavering commitment to excellence.

Notably, Chef Takahashi’s remarkable culinary journey includes the ownership and operation of Yoshifuku, his esteemed restaurant located in the heart of Ginza. Under his meticulous guidance, Yoshifuku achieved the remarkable feat of earning Michelin stars for an impressive nine consecutive years, a testament to his unwavering dedication to perfection.

Before stepping into the limelight with his own establishment, Chef Takahashi’s culinary prowess was honed to perfection. He graduated with the highest honors from the prestigious Tsuji Culinary Institute, setting the stage for a stellar career. His tenure as Sous Chef at the legendary Sakurada in Kyoto, spanning a decade, further enriched his culinary repertoire with Japanese flavors and techniques.

Zuicho, now gracing the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, marks the third distinguished location bearing the Zuicho name, joining the ranks of Hong Kong and Macau. With Chef Kenji Takahashi at the helm, Zuicho Singapore promises an exquisite dining experience infused with the essence of his world-class culinary artistry.
